According to the Ten-Year Energy Expansion Plan 2026 (PDE 2026), carried out by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and the Energy Research Company (EPE), the total installed wind energy capacity in Brazil is expected to reach to 28.5 GW by 2026, which would represent 12.5% in the Brazilian energy matrix.

The benefits of generating clean and sustainable energy are vast. In 2016, wind energy prevented the emission of 637 million tons of CO2 across the planet. In Brazil, it was responsible for reducing the emission of 21 million tons in 2017 - equivalent to the annual emission of about 16 million cars.
